THE CHARACTERS
The various characters in The Green Chair are based on real people, and that is a hallmark of the author. In this case, a married couple with a young infant form the focal point, but those that they encounter and interact with along the way are also drawn with real motivations, real desires, and real conflicts. Even the supporting roles tend to be very three-dimensional, and very real. And, like all of us, these are all people who have secrets; secrets that they would rather not reveal.
